Tuesday Training Sessions
 

Introduction

Tuesday evening sessions are scheduled as follows.
6.30pm News items, notices etc..
6.40pm Warm up, including drills and skills
7.00pm Training session
8.00pm Warm down
8.15pm Finish
8.30pm Please be off-site

Road/off-track and track sessions for the next few weeks are below. Choose whichever suits you best. If you have any queries about which that might be, or would like further advice on a training programme, speak to one of the coaches.
The coaches will assume that all athletes are fit enough to complete the training session, please let us know of any injuries or medical issues.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU WEAR HI-VIS IF YOU ARE RUNNING IN THE ROAD SESSIONS.


Training Schedule

15 May
Off track: Grantchester Fartlek
Track: 12x 200m, with equal time recovery. Split into 3x sets, with double recovery.

22 May
Off track: Coton Hills
Track: 4x, 4x, 2x 400m, with equal time recovery. Double recovery between sets.

29 May
Off track: Zig-zag pond, West Site
Track: 6x 800m paired (if the track is busy, the backup is straight 800m reps)

5 June 2018
Off track: 5 x 1k hold and kick, West Site
Track: 4x hollow 1k (400m hard, 200m at 5k, 400m hard)

12 June 2018
Off track: Coton Hills, short
Track: 3x sets of 4x 400m, with 90s recovery, and 3:00 between sets.

19 June 2018
Off track: Ladder run, Coton path
Track: 10-12x 300m with 100m jog

26 June 2018
Off track: Speed, Eddington
Track: 4-6x sets of 600m, 200m; with 200m jog.

3 July 2018
Off track: Star run, Coton Path
Track: 6x 800m with 3:00 recovery

10 July 2018
Off track: Madingley Hills
Track: 12-18x 200m with 200m jog

17 July 2018
Off track: Grantchester fartlek
Track: Cut downs. 1000m, 600m, 200m. 2-3x sets, with 200m jog recovery, and 200m walk between sets.

24 July 2018
Off track:
Track: 4x, 4x, 2x 400m, with 90s recovery and 3:00 between sets.

31 July 2018
Off track: 5 x 1k, Jesus Green
Track: 10-12x 300m with 100m jog

7 August 2018
Off track: Pond and zig zags, West site
Track: 6x 800m paired (if the track is busy, the backup is straight 800m reps)

14 August 2018
Off track: Pond and zig zag, West Site
Track: 8x 600m with 200m jog recovery

21 August 2018
Off track: Paarlauf, West Site
Track: 10x 400m with 100m jog recovery

28 August 2018
Off track: 5 x 1k hold and kick, West Site
Track: 4x 800m with 3:00 recovery, and 4x 400m with 60s recovery

4 Sept 2018
Off track: Coton hills
Track: 10-12x 300m with 100m jog

11 Sept 2018
Off track: Grantchester fartlek
Track: 8x 600m with 200m jog recovery

Off track:
Track: 6x 800m (paired)
