St Ives 10K
The St Ives 10K usually brings with it suitable weather for desert endurance training, and I imagine this one was a real Marathon des Macadams - runway mirages, melting soles and all. So well done everyone who made it round, and you are fully recognised in the results list, but special credit to the C&Cs who picked up silverware; Kevin O'Holleran was second in 35:30, Isabelle Lemasson third female with a 42:32. There were category wins too, for Charlie Wartnaby (M45, 36:08 and fifth overall) and Jon Anderson (M50, 39:22), and a third-place M50 for Paul Fletcher (41:38). I hope any cases of heatstroke are now resolved.

Kevin Henry 5k League - Results in!
Results are now in from the latest KH 5k fixture hosted by Saffron Striders. C&C are leading the standings across all three categories (Ladies, Men, and Overall) - congratulations to all who competed last Thursday. There was an impressive turnout and some equally impressive performances. See the individual results for details. The next race is hosted by Haverhill on Thursday 4th August.

Dovedale Dash!
Who wants a weekend of Hill Training? Fresh back from a weekend in the Lake District doing the Billy Bland Relay, Scott mentioned that more people would be welcome. Obviously fell running is hard work, so a gentle introduction might be a weekend in the Peak District to enjoy some hills without some of the extreme conditions.

For the last couple of years a group of us have rented a couple of cottages in the Peak District to get in some hill running, an entry into the Dovedale Dash and some partying. Dates for this year are 4th-6th November. Anybody interested at this stage?

2nd annual Billy Bland Challenge
Yes, C&C were back in the Lakes for a 2nd crack at the Billy Bland Challenge, knocking over 2 hours off our time from last year!

Bassingbourn Half Marathon
We cleaned up here with the men's team prize (me, Axel, Nick, JEP) and both 1st spots. The big story though was Vicky Knight's victorious time: an eye-watering, 89.4% WAVA, 1:16:13 -- (narrowly) second overall and two minutes clear of 2nd man. Grand chapeau!

Saffron Walden Kevin Henry
C&C Facebook page suggests that the Saffron Walden race is at Carver Barracks this Thursday. Presumably therefore the stated venue on the Saffron Striders site is outdated. Hopefully more information to follow.
Update - flyer uploaded with all the info - thanks Dave M for the tip!

New Server
Welcome to the new server. It's an old netbook underneath the telly. It might not be lightning fast but it shouldn't be susceptible to heavy traffic on other sites.
I imagine some things will be broken (parkrun automatic update had an issue, now fixed). If so, post me a comment. Ta!
Improved content is the next thing...
UPDATE - large fix done. If your actions cause mass deletions or anything else scary, please let me know. I have backups!
