Mizuno Endure24
Not a C&C team per se, but a massive Cambridge effort at an ultra event. Sorry that the results are a bit disorganised but there were too many times to fit into the standard results block.

Good for Age - London Marathon 2015
Just a quick reminder in case anyone doesn't know about the deadline - the Good for Age entries for London marathon 2015 close on Friday 4th July at 17.00. The qualifying times you need and the link to the online application are here.

Picnic Marathon
Just to prove that you don't have to leave England to find one of Europe's most brutal marathons, Hamish and I headed down to Box Hill last Saturday to pick up our shiny new PWs.

Kevin Henry 5k Series - Race 3, Saffron Walden
The next Kevin Henry 5k is at Newport, Saffron Walden, 7:30 Thursday 3rd July. We are 4 points off the lead at the moment, so a cracking turnout will put us back near the top again. With 3 races to go, loads of time to close the gap. Remember everyone scores, just turn up with your club vest. I am away now until the day before, so if you can car share please offer lifts at next Tuesday's session. There are toilets at Newport, but no changing facilities and parking will be in the lower car park. Below are the instructions - they are last years, so don't worry about the dates. Again, spectators and scorers are welcome! See you there.

No Cambridge parkrun on Saturday

Peterborough 5K Grand Prix
C&C's first venture of the season to the high-quality Peterborough series, and rather a nice set of results from the Eye leg - fifth, sixth and seventh for Istvan Jacso (16:18), Michael Moore (16:21) and Alex Eggeman (16:24) respectively, a 20:15 for Jo Eggeman to finish fifth female, a fine sub-19½ for Stewart Bond (19:29), a pleasing 21½ for me and a solid completion for the still-fairly-broken Carmel McEniery. Lovely race, great series, beautiful evening.

5K Charity Fun Run in aid of Cystic Fibrosis
Saturday 12th July, on Midsummer Common. Rebekah, a student at Hills Road Sixth Form College, is organising this event which will start at 13:15. Please come along at 12:50 to pay the £5.00 entry fee & collect your number. The route is entirely on the common on grass & path. A truly grassroots event in aid of a very good cause. Your support will be much appreciated.

Kevin Henry 5k series - Race 2 - C&C slip to second
A trip over to the Rowley Mile in Newmarket for the second race of the KH series. A really tough day at the office as our men finished 3rd and ladies 4th. Overall we are now on 18 points, 4 behind CTC. With still 3 races of the series to go the gap is easily closable with our usual strength in depth performances. Still some very admirable efforts at Newmarket, with Carla coming in first lady and Makka and Alex picking up 4th and 5th. Cambridge Tri will really have the bit between their teeth and Newmarket are not that far behind, but they have both had their home events, so plenty of opportunities for us to take the lead again. Look out for the next event in July in Saffron Walden.

Flaming June Half
I recognised a few familiar C&C faces in this inaugural running of a new local off-road half so have added a few names to the results but as clubs aren't listed in the results I have only added a few. The categories are a bit mixed up as well as I gained a few years and was recorded as being over 50.

St Neots Half Marathon
Entries for St Neots half marathon Sunday 16th November opened today. Entries are going quickly and is likely it will be full by the end of today because at 8:15 this morning there were only 546 places left. Therefore, if you're planning on doing it, I suggest getting your entry in asap.

Lakeland Trails Kentmere Challenge
A few C&Cers braved the hills of the Lake District for the Kentmere 17km Trail Race. See the race report for more.
•
The Karrimor Great Trail Challenge
To be able to go up a little higher than Castle Hill can sometimes be a pleasant change. With this in mind I ran the 11km (or 7 mile) trail near Keswick, Lake District.
For more information see report.

World Duathlon Championships 2014 - Pontevedra
George has just returned from racing in Pontevedra. She put in a 36:13 10km run, followed by 1 hour 12 mins on the bike and a final 18:41 5km run placing her 7th in the Elite Women's Category (and a bronze medal in her first year as U23).
